The respective selection of language courses per semester can be found in the corresponding language skills module. Language courses of the Language Center of the University of Basel are not listed in the course catalog, but they are recognized. In addition, language courses from other universities are in principle be credited. Source languages that are regularly offered in Basel include in particular: Egyptian, Akkadian, Arabic, Aramaic, Greek, Hebrew, Yiddish, Coptic, Latin, Persian, Syriac. International scientific standard languages such as English, French, Italian, Spanish, etc. cannot be credited.
